VIJAYAWADA: In a shocking act of brutality, a man allegedly stabbed his wife, a working nurse, to death in broad daylight on a city road in Vijayawada.

The victim, identified as Saraswati, who worked as a nurse at the Vins Hospital in Vijayawada, was viciously attacked by her husband, Vijay. The assault occurred in the middle of the road, where the husband repeatedly stabbed her, including a deep wound to her neck, reportedly slitting her throat.

Sources indicate that Saraswati collapsed in a pool of blood due to the severe injuries and massive blood loss. She was rushed to the hospital but tragically succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment.

The murder is believed to be the result of a long-standing domestic dispute. The couple was reportedly undergoing frequent conflicts and family problems in recent months. The husband, Vijay, is said to have harbored extreme anger towards his wife, culminating in the savage attack.

The police have since taken the accused, Vijay, into custody and are investigating the full circumstances surrounding the heinous crime.
