MUMBAI – The “Housefull” bromance is back, and this time, the stakes are as high as the humor. In a riotous new promo for Sony Entertainment Television’s latest game show, Wheel of Fortune India, host Akshay Kumar left the audience in splits by taking a playful dig at veteran actor Chunky Panday’s notorious “money-minded” persona.
The promo, which has quickly gone viral, captures the quintessential comic timing that has made the duo a fan favorite for decades.
The “Snake” and the “Money Magnet”
The teaser kicks off with Chunky Panday leaning into his “Aakhri Pasta” energy, humorously hunting for rewards.
“Kya? Kisne paisa bola? Kitne kitne kitne… paisa jahan, Chunky waha!” (What? Who said money? How much… wherever there is money, Chunky is there!)
Not one to miss a beat, Akshay Kumar instantly fired back with a rhyming zinger: “Jaha baat hui dhan ki, waha nikle Chunky!” (Wherever there’s a talk of wealth, out comes Chunky!)
The banter escalated when Akshay joked that even the mechanical snake on the Wheel of Fortune set wasn’t safe from Chunky.
“I want to tell you all that after Chunky’s arrival, the snake on our Wheel doesn’t feel safe. Because if that snake swallows money… Chunky will pull it out of the snake too!”
