Hyderabad, February 13, 2026 – In a major student-friendly move, the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has issued strict directives to ensure a comfortable and transparent environment for the upcoming Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) 2026.
During a high-level review meeting held on Thursday, February 12, TGBIE Secretary S. Krishna Aditya instructed all district officials and examination center heads to finalize all logistical arrangements before the theory exams commence on February 25, 2026.
Key Directives for TS Inter Exams 2026
The board has emphasized a “zero-compromise” policy regarding student comfort and examination integrity. The following mandates are now in effect for all centers across Telangana:
1. Mandatory Dual Desks (No Floor Seating)
Following reports of infrastructure gaps in previous years, the Secretary has made dual desks (two-seater benches) mandatory for every candidate. “No student will be allowed to sit on the floor during exams,” Aditya stated, ensuring that all 5.26 lakh+ students have proper writing surfaces for their 3-hour papers.
2. Live CCTV Surveillance
To eliminate malpractices, every examination hall will be under continuous CCTV monitoring. These live feeds will be linked to a central command control room for real-time oversight. This system builds on the protocols used during the practical exams held earlier this month.
3. Essential Student Amenities
Center superintendents must ensure the following facilities are functional before the start date:
-
Time Management: Functional wall clocks in every exam hall.
-
Ventilation: Working fans and adequate lighting in all rooms.
-
Basic Needs: Access to clean drinking water and hygienic toilets.
TS Inter 2026 Exam Schedule
The theory examinations are scheduled to run from late February through mid-March. Students are advised to reach their centers at least 30 minutes before the 9:00 AM start time.

The board has also deployed only experienced personnel for invigilation. Strict district-wise inspections of question paper storage and distribution centers are currently underway to ensure a leak-proof system.
