Delhi School Bomb Threat Today

NEW DELHI, February 13, 2026 – For the second time in a single week, a wave of bomb threat emails has sent Delhi schools into a state of high alert. On Friday morning, February 13, 2026, at least four prominent educational institutions received menacing messages, leading to immediate evacuations and a massive mobilization of the Delhi Police, Bomb Disposal Squads, and Delhi Fire Services (DFS).

Schools Targeted in Friday’s Scare

According to official reports, the emails arrived shortly after school hours began. The institutions confirmed to be affected include:

  • Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Lodhi Estate

  • The British School, Chanakyapuri

  • BT Tamil School (BD Tamil Education), Jhandewalan

  • Kendriya Vidyalaya, Gole Market

Timeline of the Incident

The first distress call was received by the DFS at approximately 9:12 AM from the BT Tamil School in central Delhi. Shortly after, administrators at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya and The British School initiated their emergency protocols.

In a message sent to parents, one school administration stated:

“This morning the school received a security threat. As a precautionary measure, the police are in school for necessary security measures. All students have been evacuated safely.”

Links to Previous Threats and “Khalistan” Claims

This incident follows a massive scare on Monday, February 9, when 15 schools received similar threats. Those emails specifically referenced “Afzal Guru” and claimed “Delhi will become Khalistan,” further warning of a potential blast at Parliament today, February 13, at 1:11 PM.

While today’s emails are still being analyzed, the pattern suggests a coordinated attempt to cause public panic. After extensive sweeps by sniffer dogs and bomb disposal units, no explosives were found, and the threats have been categorized as hoaxes.

Investigation: The Challenge of Cyber Anonymity

Delhi Police’s Cyber Cell is currently investigating the origin of these emails. Preliminary findings indicate:

  1. Encrypted Domains: Most emails originate from overseas domains, primarily in Europe.

  2. Masking Tech: Senders are utilizing VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) and TOR proxy servers to hide their IP addresses.

  3. Recurring Pattern: Over 50 such hoax threats have targeted Delhi institutions in the last 18 months, often sent by individuals seeking to disrupt exams or create chaos.

Safety Advice for Parents

Authorities have urged the public not to succumb to rumors. “We request parents to stay calm and follow the official instructions provided by school authorities,” a senior police official stated.

Normalcy is expected to return to the affected schools by the afternoon session following final security clearances.
