The disruption was primarily attributed to a combination of operational issues and periods of low visibility across the airport. Passengers were seen queuing at airline assistance counters for hours as the delays extended through the night and into the new day.
Airport sources confirmed that the persistent issues heavily impacted the flight schedule:

Diverted Flights: At least two incoming flights on Tuesday were diverted due to low visibility. Flight XY325 from Riyadh was rerouted to Mumbai, while 6E 352 from Pune was directed to Bengaluru. Officials cautioned that further diversions remained possible depending on the prevailing weather conditions.

Delayed Departures: Multiple departures were delayed, with airlines citing operational challenges. Affected flights included 6E 409 (HYD-VTZ), 6E 785 (HYD-BOM), 6E 944 (HYD-CCU), 6E 2256 (HYD-DEL), and 6E 5003 (HYD-BOM).

Cancelled Services: Several flight cancellations were reported. Notable cancellations included departures such as 6E 240 (HYD-DEL), 6E 6467 (HYD-IXM), 6E 6361 (HYD-BLR), and 6E 922 (HYD-BBI). Arrivals, including 6E 206 (GOI-HYD), 6E 6337 (AMD-HYD), and 6E 6360 (BLR-HYD), were also cancelled.
