HYDERABAD Jan 28 – The makers of the highly anticipated Pan-India film Aakasamlo Oka Tara celebrated actress Shruti Haasan’s birthday on Wednesday by unveiling her striking first look. Taking to social media, Geetha Arts shared the character poster with a caption that has since gone viral: “A trailblazer in every sense…. Team #AakasamLoOkaTara wishes @shrutihaasan a very Happy Birthday. Meet a character that stands her ground and owns her space.”
In a departure from her usual glamorous roles, Haasan’s look is notably gritty and intense. The poster features her in an unvarnished aesthetic, wearing glasses with a steady, downward gaze. A cigarette between her lips and drifting smoke add a layer of raw realism, suggesting a character with significant emotional depth and a complex backstory.

A Story of Ambition and Dreams
Directed by Pavan Sadineni, known for his inventive storytelling (notably the Dayaa series), the film is described as an emotional adventure drama. While Satvika Veeravalli plays a village girl aspiring to reach the stars as an astronaut, insiders reveal that Shruti Haasan’s character is the narrative’s “pivot.” Her entry is expected to steer the story into a more intense phase, adding “gravitas and sharp dimension” to the drama.
“Shruti is a powerhouse who brings a decisive weight to the film’s narrative arc,” sources close to the production noted.
Production Status
Produced by Sandeep Gunnam and Ramya Gunnam under the LightBox Media banner, the film is currently in its final phase of production. With technical heavyweights like GV Prakash Kumar and National Award-winning editor KL Praveen on board, the project has already secured a massive post-theatrical deal with Netflix.
Aakasamlo Oka Tara is slated for a grand theatrical release in Summer 2026.
