- Court Observation: During the hearing, the Supreme Court bench comprising Justice Manoj Misra and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan reportedly observed that the High Court’s granted amount of ₹4 lakh per month was “quite handsome” for interim maintenance.
- Next Step: The Supreme Court has directed both Mohammad Shami and the West Bengal government to file their respective responses within four weeks. The matter is expected to be taken up for the next hearing in December.
